The art is practiced for health benefits and also can be used for defending purpose. Taichi routines \u5957\u8def\u00a0are usually typified by gentle and slow movements but some schools have secondary forms that are of fast pace, fast jumps, leaps and explosive energy releases. One such school is the Chen Style taichiquan.<\/p>\n<p>During practice, the body remains relaxed with the practitioners&#8217; consciousness, breathing and actions all closely connected. These unique features enhance benefits to health and fitness. Taichiquan\u00a0can be\u00a0practiced by anyone regardless of age and sex.<\/p>\n<p>There are five major styles\/school of Taichi namely<br \/>\nChen style (\u9673\u6c0f) of Chen Wangting (1580\u20131660)<br \/>\nYang style (\u694a\u6c0f) of Yang LuChan (1799-1872)<br \/>\nWu (martial) style (\u6b66\u6c0f) of Wu YuHsiang (1812-1880)<br \/>\nSun style (\u5b6b\u6c0f) of Sun LuTang (1861\u20131932)<br \/>\nWu style (\u5433\u6c0f) of Wu ChuanYu (1834\u20131902) and his son Wu ChienChuan (1870-1942)<\/p>\n<p><em><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\">Grandmaster Huang Sheng Shyan originated the style\/school <span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><strong>Huang taichiquan .( \u9ec3\u5f0f\u592a\u6781\u62f3).<\/strong><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/em><\/p>\n<p>Each taichi style (school) may have its own subtle emphasis on various taichi principles and methods and there are also variations within each style. Some style focus on health maintenance, while others focus on the martial arts aspect.<\/p>\n<p>The intensity of taichi varies depending on the form or style. Some forms of taichi are fast-paced and exerting more than others, but in general most form are gentle and suitable for everyone.<\/p>\n<p>Some benefits of practicing taichiquan :<\/p>\n<ul style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">\n<li>Reduce anxiety and stress<\/li>\n<li>Improve balance and flexibility<\/li>\n<li>Improve metabolism<\/li>\n<li>Lower blood pressure<\/li>\n<li>Improve cardiovascular fitness<\/li>\n<li>Sharpen mental focus<\/li>\n<li>Improve Posture<\/li>\n<li>Improve coordination<\/li>\n<li>Reduce risk of falling<\/li>\n<li>Enhance muscle tone<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Practicing Taichi develops one&#8217;s flexibility, toning muscles in the lower body, increasing strength of lower limbs &#8211; especially the thighs, buttocks and calves thus improve one&#8217;s balance.<\/p>\n<p>Taichi requires no special clothing or equipment and can be practiced anywhere and anytime.
